Happy Anniversary and Cookbook Giveaway

A year ago my family and I were going through what a lot of Americans are currently going through. My husband lost his job and we had no clue what the future would hold. I have always loved cooking and sharing my passion with others. I created the blog so I could focus on something different and do what I love to do, cooking. Little did I know how my life would change because of this blog. I’ve become more passionate about cooking (I didn’t think it was possible) and the joy, you, as the readers would give me. Your comments and emails have kept a smile on my face throughout this past year. Thankfully, we are doing a lot better and we will always have a bright future. As a thank you for everything you have given to me, I want to give something back. I decided to share with one lucky reader, a cookbook that I think every cook should have in their kitchen.

The New Best Recipe from Cook’s Illustrated is a cookbook that I go back to time and time again. It’s one of the biggest cookbooks I’ve ever seen and has tons of useful information along with great recipes.

  4. I have many cookbooks that I turn to these days. but in order to keep up with my kids and my husband i use my mother in law and all of her tried and true recipes. sometimes i add my own flare but her recipes are always where I start.

  9. It is a toss up on my favorite family recipe between my daddy’s Italian spaghetti sauce with braciole and my mom’s layered pan enchiladas.

    Believe it or not, I do have cookbooks. My favorite is one that my mom’s school put together as a fundraiser.

  12. I’m a recipe junkie. I love reading recipe books and trying new recipes! The ones I use the most are those compiled with people’s favorites. I love the fact that you’ve even gotten Kali to do some cooking.

  13. I can’t live without my favorite cajun recipes that were given to me by my marain & parain. (Auntie & uncle in cajun french). My favorite cookbook is my River Road Recipes by Holly Clegg. They are great south Louisiana recipes.

    Congrats on one year with the blog. It’s always a good read and leaves my hungry!!!

  14. The one recipe I could not live without is for Paula Dean’s Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese. Sooo fattening but worth every calorie!
